Me again, told you I'd be spamming my social media. I only have 2 more of books I've read this past summer. I am super super excited to blog about the next one!! But one at a time...

This book was purchased on a bit of a whim whilst picking up a parcel in Asda. Think along the lines of Bridget Jones and you get this.

There are a couple of printing errors which I did notice, which slightly angered me as consistencies is a publishing agency's job, but never mind so not important... Polly Spencer is that woman who has never really had a proper boyfriend that she has deeply loved and who loved her as much back. She is currently a single-pringle working for a gossip magazine. One day she hopes to move past the gossip and single hood... as her 30th birthday approaches she's desperate to have some exciting new changes. And surely enough things change a wee bit... On an interview job she meets a charming, rich, young, Marquess of Milton, Jasper. A little flirt here and an attempted kiss there leads to a fanny fluttering story!! Although there is the cheesy and ever-so predictable love story, Sophia Money-Coutts manages to describe single life and awkward sexual encounters with hilarious accuracy. Rather than describing intense sex that is perfection for both involved, we hear about the realistic drama of a unsexy panties, unshaved legs, dirty bed sheets and morning breath. I found myself giggling at the clumsy personality of Polly and also adoring the close relationship she has with her mother. Altogether a really lovely read. Not sure I would recommend people to go out of their way and buy it at full price... but if you see it in a charity shop, garden centre, book swap or Asda and are in need of a pick-me-up... then I'd recommend.

Hx

P.S.

That Disney puzzle is a true labour love, everytime!
